Tropical Island Iced Tea

Don’t let the pink color fool you. The Tropical Island Iced Tea is a variation of the Long Island Iced Tea and can pack the same punch. Don’t let the pink color fool you. The Tropical Island Iced Tea is a variation of the Long Island Iced Tea and can pack the same punch. Refreshing and not overly sweet, this could become a summer favorite! We found the original recipe on SippitySup.com, but changed it up a bit and added the whole can of Kern’s Guava Nectar to make a slightly less potent and more refreshing drink. Delicious! Bring on summer!

Tropical-Island-Iced-Tea(a)-(600)-O

Papaya-Mango Rum Float

Papaya, mango, rum and ice cream – what’s not to like about this summer dessert drink? This tasty concoction reminds me of the great fresh fruit (and rum!) that we enjoyed in Jamaica. We just barely blended the papaya, mango and rum so that there were still small chunks of papaya – but you can blend it longer if you want a creamier mix.

Frosty Long Island Iced Tea

This recipe is a re-mix of the regular Long Island Iced Tea with rum, of course. At 2.5 oz of liquor and liqueur (triple sec), it’s potent, though oddly enough, it doesn’t taste really “boozy”. So – be careful and drink responsibly! It’s cool and refreshing on a hot summer day and a glass can go down very easily… (Jump to Recipe)

Course: Drinks
Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • 1/2 oz white rum
  • 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz tequila
  • 1-2 squeezes fresh lemon
  • 3/4 c. cola
  • 1 1/5 c. ice
  • 1 slice lemon
  • maraschino cherries

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and icy.
  • Pour into a glass and garnish with a lemon slice or maraschino cherries. (Actually the lemon slice makes more sense with iced tea, but we like the look of the cherries!)
